Here are my top 5 five Christmas cocktail recipes:
1. Christmas Cranberry Margarita
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. tequila
½ oz. triple sec
1 oz. cranberry juice
½ oz. lime juice
½ oz. simple syrup
Fresh cranberries and rosemary sprig for garnish
Instructions:
Rim a glass with lime juice and dip in sugar.
In a shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake well.
Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig.
2. Spiced Eggnog Martini
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. spiced rum
1 oz. vanilla vodka
2 oz. eggnog
Pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions:
In a shaker, combine spiced rum, vanilla vodka, eggnog, and a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon. Shake well.
Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
3. Holiday Hot Toddy
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. whiskey
1 tbsp honey
½ oz. lemon juice
1 cup hot water
1 cinnamon stick and lemon slice for garnish
Instructions:
In a mug, combine whiskey, honey, and lemon juice.
Top with hot water and stir until honey dissolves.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon slice.
4. Peppermint White Russian
Ingredients:
1 oz. vodka
1 oz. coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
1 oz. peppermint schnapps
2 oz. half-and-half or cream
Crushed candy cane for rim and garnish
Instructions:
Rim a glass with crushed candy cane.
Fill the glass with ice and add vodka, coffee liqueur, and peppermint schnapps.
Stir, then top with half-and-half. Garnish with more crushed candy cane.
5. Mulled Wine
Ingredients:
1 bottle red wine (750 ml)
¼ cup brandy
¼ cup honey or sugar
1 orange (sliced)
1 cinnamon stick
4-5 cloves
Star anise for garnish
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine red wine, brandy, honey or sugar, orange slices, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
Heat over low, stirring occasionally, but do not boil.
Serve warm, garnished with a star anise.
